FINANCIAL ECONOMICS YEAR 1

7 mandatory concentration courses

  • Financial theory
  • Corporate finance
  • Strategic management
  • Accounting
  • Financial statement analysis and valuation
  • Principles of taxation
  • Organizational behaviour

 

Specialisation courses (3 mandatory courses to take according to the chosen MSc)

 

  • Probability and stochastic processes in finance (prerequisite for the MSCs Capital Markets and Risk & Asset Management)
  • Micro-economics of uncertainty
  • Software packages for economics and finance
  • Corporate governance
  • Accounting and taxation for holding companies (prerequisite for MSCs Accounting and Corporate Finance)
  • Cost accounting and management control (prerequisite for MSc Accounting and highly recommended for Corporate Finance)
  • Labor law
  • Financial engineering and securities law
  • Financial markets and corporate strategy
  • Language courses

The objective of the first  year of the FE Master programme is to start working on the fundamental courses, required for any of the proposed MSCs the second year.

FINANCIAL ECONOMICS YEAR 2

The second year of Master of the FE Track the follwing MSCs are available:

  • MSc Risk & Asset Management
  • MSc Capital Markets
  • MSc Finance
  • MSc Corporate Finance

Learning methods of the MSc programmes foster independant thinking, problem solving skills, managerial competencies and the ability to function as team member and group leader in an international and culturally diverse environment.

Internship period:................ June - December


 

The Master's Thesis and the professional internship complement the curriculum and play an important role at reinforcing analytical, technical and managerial skills.
