The successful candidate will have a PhD and will be a professor of finance in asset pricing and/or capital markets. He/she will have excellent presentation skills and will ideally have both experience within the industry and track record of academic achievement. Familiarity with the field of sovereign wealth fund management and/or private equity would be an asset for the position. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience (range from €150k to €250k).

Full-Time Research Engineer - one vacancy in Paris, France

EDHEC is seeking a full-time research engineer beginning in 2009 to participate in the development of applied research work at the crossroads of macroeconomics and finance. He/she will be involved in a joint research program on the financial and economic analysis of State asset and liability management and sovereign funds run by the EDHEC Risk and Asset Management Research centre and the EDHEC Economics Research Centre. The successful candidate(s) will have a graduate degree from a leading business school or a university degree in Economics or Statistics, ideally a PhD., and a minimum of three years' experience in a research post involving econometric modelling and quantitative economic analysis, ideally in the above fields. The research engineer will be a member of the research team in Economics located in Paris, France. Responsibilities include taking an active part in the research team activities (participating in conferences, taking part in professional events, etc.). The gross salary is determined according to EDHEC Business School's remuneration scale and depends upon professional qualifications and experience.
