Fast Track to a Career in Finance

Finance

Published on June 6, 2008

EDHEC Business School is pleased to announce the launch of a new track dedicated to Finance, Economics and Auditing, as an alternative to the classic Masters in Management programme. The Financial Economics track starts in September 2009 on the School's Campus in Nice.

Students aiming for a career in Finance will be able to opt for this two-year, post graduate degree programme, known in France as the Grande Ecole programme. This full time programme, entirely taught in English, provides general business knowledge and develops managerial competencies. It leads to a specialisation in Year 2 through the choice of an MSc programme in Finance, Corporate Finance, Risk & Asset Management, Capital Markets or Accounting & Management Control. Students will be awarded a double degree by EDHEC Business School: a Master's Degree and a Master of Science.

EDHEC's research findings are shared with students in the classroom by integrating them in the Financial Economics track courses. The programme has been designed to train its students to be the most sought-after specialists in the field and to respond to corporate demands for specialised talents.

The School's Finance, Economics & Auditing professors are involved in applied research, consulting and executive education. A majority of them also serve as senior advisors to financial institutions or to directors in hedge funds, pension funds, regulatory bodies and non-financial corporations. Several permanent professors are regarded as international experts in the fields of asset management, fixed income securities, alternative investments and risk management.

According to Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School: This specialised track is unique in France and has been devised to compete with leading Anglo-Saxon business schools. EDHEC has privileged working relationships with global finance corporations thanks to its research centres, and in particular its prestigious EDHEC Risk & Asset Management Research Centre. It is only natural to share the benefits and expertise with our students.
