After intensive negotiations, EDHEC Business School recently added a new element to an existing partnership by signing a double-diploma agreement with Maastricht University (Netherlands) on the 17th February. EDHEC students in the Grande Ecole programme will be able to benefit from this latest development that adds yet another element to EDHEC's extensive international portfolio.
Maastricht University is a highly-respected institution with an excellent reputation both inside and outside the Netherlands. Its unique education system with problem-based learning courses, and its international focus attracts students worldwide. The Faculty of Economics & Business Administration has been recognised by AACSB International and EQUIS as a top institution for research and education in the field of International Economics, Business and Management.
Reaching an agreement on the subject of this double diploma involved a year-long discussion between the project coordinators of both institutions to finalise the new agreement that awards a double diploma to students from the two schools. The Double Diploma agreement between the two business schools was officially signed on 17 February by Olivier Oger, Dean of EDHEC Business School, Henri-Laurent Brusa, Associate Dean and Director of EDHEC International and FE&BA's Dean Dr. Jos Lemmink and Associate Dean Dr. Wim Gijselaers who signed on behalf of Maastricht University.
The agreement with Maastricht University is one of many that EDHEC has signed in the last few years as part of EDHEC Business School's policy to reinforce its international strategy, and to develop the image of the institute throughout Europe and the world. In so doing, EDHEC continues to enhance the quality of the education it provides to its students.
Exchange programmes provide students with valuable cultural experience by giving them the opportunity to study abroad and savour a true foreign immersion. Thanks to these partnerships, MSc students can find themselves in classes with top-quality exchange students who join the EDHEC campus. They also take part in lectures given by the visiting-professors from these prestigious partner institutions, international professors who add their own touch of culture to the classroom as well as alternative teaching methods.
EDHEC's International Relations are not only limited to exchanges however. The Intercontinental Track, established in 2004, takes students on a world tour of management training. Students study management, in English, through a programme designed and supervised by EDHEC, in top-ranking institutions and Business Schools on three continents. The keystone of this training itinerary is the extensive network of bilateral agreements concluded between EDHEC and some of the world's most prestigious institutions. Countries include North America, China and Japan and negotiations are currently being finalised on courses being held in India, South Africa and South America where EDHEC already has partnerships.
International Work Experience Opportunities provide MSc students with a vast choice of internship and job offers from around the world thanks to the help provided by the highly efficient EDHEC Careers Service. This service provides students with the tools and opportunities that will enable them to integrate the job market, find the best orientation, and fulfil their personal ambitions. The increased opportunities for meetings and exchange between students and businesses in frameworks as different as forums, company case studies and internships form a significant aspect of EDHEC's international corporate relations.
