New at EDHEC Business School
The European Apprenticeship Track

After the launch of the Intercontinental Track in 2004, EDHEC continues to extend its range of programmes by opening a part time course in Paris in January 2006 whereby students alternate a company immersion and studies over a period of 27 months.  50 second year students are enrolled in the programme with most of the classes taking place in and around Paris.

For more than 10 years, EDHEC Business School has enjoyed the advantages its double campus has had to offer and now it can be even closer to its partner companies, most of which are situated in Paris.  77% of internships/gap years are in the Paris region and 70%of EDHEC graduates pursue their career there.

The students, the School and the Company are linked in a binding contract whereby the students are hired as paid employees and the company finances their studies.  This is a unique opportunity for students. explains Anne Zuccarelli, Careers and Company Relations Manager at EDHEC Business School. Thanks to this contract, their school fees are covered by the company and they receive a monthly salary, even when they are at school.

Over and above the company immersion and the Master's programme courses, each student is encouraged to develop his managerial competencies through the analysis of situations and experiences, coached by a Learning Manager throughout his training and accompanied by a placement supervisor who facilitates his integration.

A win-win situation.

All the parties involved benefit from this partnership.

The student of course because of the financial advantages but also because of the unique way that he can link theory and practice and because of the strong likelihood of him being recruited by the company that has invested in him over two years.

The company which discovers new talent and which can pick from a real pool of recruitment while enjoying the reputation of a model company.  The cost of the training is financed through a tax paid by all companies in France to finance the development of training.

EDHEC Business School which benefits from even closer customer relations and which is able to satisfy a demand from both students and businesses alike in a bond in which everyone concerned is a winner.

International

This European programme has a strong international outlook as the students spend one term in another European country, either in one of EDHEC's partner universities or in a subsidiary of the host company.  This intercultural exchange will continue to develop further as EDHEC Business School will then welcome students from foreign universities.  Here once again is proof of EDHEC's international advantage.
